Procurement Manager – Capex Categories (APAC)

About the role

Amazon's India Operations Capex Procurement team is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and management of key capex categories across the APAC region, with a focus on the Quick Commerce footprint. The role offers high autonomy to shape vendor strategies, drive innovation, and influence cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own procurement spend for assigned categories, managing vendor performance, RFP processes, negotiations and contract lifecycle.
• Develop and execute supplier compliance, sourcing, and procurement strategies, including industry benchmarking and risk mitigation.
• Lead cost‑reduction initiatives through innovative sourcing and process improvements.
• Set and enforce high standards for vendor quality, safety, compliance, and sustainability.
• Drive vendor engagement programs such as safety compliance, social responsibility audits, Ecovadis assessments, and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with design engineering, legal, operations and business teams to ensure seamless contract execution and compliance documentation.
• Publish milestones, MIS reports and success metrics for the Global Procurement Organization (GPO‑IN).

Required profile

• Proven experience managing capex procurement categories, preferably in construction, cold‑room, or shelving domains.
• Strong ability to work independently and influence internal stakeholders across functions.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering cost savings and implementing compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management and vendor performance evaluation skills.
