Buyer – APAC Supply Planning (India)

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a proactive Buyer to join its APAC Supply Planning team. You will be responsible for managing material demand and supplier relationships across the India region, ensuring a reliable flow of components to support global production.

Key responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders and maintain accurate supply plans for all materials required by Armstrong plants.
• Share rolling forecasts with suppliers regularly to align capacity and replenish inventory on time.
• Monitor supply‑demand imbalances and initiate corrective actions such as expediting, rescheduling, or reallocating stock.
• Define, monitor, and continuously optimise supplier min‑max inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess.
• Set up system‑driven alerts in Kinaxis Rapid Response to flag potential breaches of inventory thresholds.
• Collaborate closely with Sourcing, Engineering, Logistics, and Site Planning teams to mitigate risks and meet service‑level targets while balancing cost and working capital.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Kinaxis Rapid Response for scenario planning and automated monitoring.
