Principal Account Manager

About the role

Amazon Web Services India is seeking a Principal Account Manager to drive adoption and market penetration of AWS across large enterprise and digital‑native customers. The role focuses on building strategic relationships with senior business and IT leaders and positioning AWS as the preferred cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop long‑term strategic relationships with CXO‑level stakeholders across business and IT.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure AWS is the preferred cloud platform across all service lines.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity in CRM systems (SFDC) and related tools.
• Create and articulate compelling value propositions for AWS services.
• Explain cloud computing, infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, data‑center services) and internet architectures (firewalls, load balancers).
• Drive regular executive engagement to secure top‑to‑top connections between customers and AWS.
• Research and prepare for customer meetings, calls, and stakeholder mapping.
• Participate in pitches, demos, and cadence calls with customers.
• Ensure high standards of communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven business development experience engaging C‑level executives.
• Strong technical competency in IT landscape and cloud computing.
• Self‑starter capable of developing and executing coverage plans aligned to business objectives.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
