About the role

Dharma Media Consultants is seeking a proactive Public Relations Account Manager to join our boutique brand‑building team in Bangalore (Whitefield). This full‑time, on‑site position will involve managing press releases, media relations, and communication strategies for our diverse portfolio of PE‑VC, startup, and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and distribute press releases and manage day‑to‑day media relations.
• Maintain and grow client account relationships, delivering tailored communication strategies.
• Pitch story ideas and secure coverage in startup, tech, and business media.
• Write content for press releases, social media posts, and authored articles.
• Collaborate with client partners and internal teams to align PR initiatives with business goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as an Account Manager and 3‑5 years total PR experience.
• Proven track record of securing media coverage in startup, technology, or business outlets.
• Experience or interest in sectors such as AI, SaaS, healthcare, or PE‑VC is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Prior agency experience and existing contacts in national, local, and vernacular media.
