Logistics Specialist – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will plan, coordinate and execute inbound and outbound logistics for a high‑voltage switchgear manufacturing unit. The role ensures timely receipt of materials, proper storage, accurate dispatch of finished goods and compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate dispatch of finished switchgear panels, breakers, accessories and spare parts.
• Ensure packaging, labeling and transportation meet product protection standards.
• Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as invoices, packing lists and delivery challans.
• Track shipments to final delivery and resolve transit‑related issues.
• Collaborate with procurement, planning, production, quality, finance and warehouse teams to align logistics with manufacturing schedules.
• Communicate material shortages, delays and dispatch status promptly.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, transport regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory movements, shipment progress and logistics performance indicators.
• Identify and support process‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce cost.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing or supply‑chain operations.
• Experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment or heavy‑engineering environments is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory‑control processes.
• Proficiency with ERP or similar logistics systems and documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem‑solving and follow‑up capability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of handling and transporting electrical or heavy equipment.
