Logistics Engineer – Imports (Bangalore)

About the role

The Logistics Engineer / Executive – Imports will coordinate the movement of shipments, ensure timely delivery, and act as a liaison between vendors, clearing agents and internal teams. This role is based in Bangalore and supports Bosch Rexroth India's import logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors and logistics service providers (LSP) for air/sea shipments based on demand.
• Interact with clearing agents to resolve technical queries, product information and checklist approvals.
• Maintain shipment tracking files and ensure materials arrive within defined transit lead times.
• Conduct monthly meetings with LSP teams to monitor and optimise transit times.
• Collaborate with planning teams on priority shipments and align requirements.
• Follow up with warehouse for goods receipt, damages and exception handling.
• Generate performance reports for freight forwarders and ensure data compliance for audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree holder with 4‑6 years of relevant logistics/import experience.
• Preferred exposure to SAP MM and PP modules.
• Knowledge of planning, procurement, transport, customs and vehicle handling activities.
