Linux Administrator – System & Automation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to join Ericsson’s global system administration team. You will support multiple telecom service providers, ensuring high availability and customer satisfaction while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day Linux system administration for RHEL 6/7/8 environments across global telecom customers.
• Maintain high uptime and performance through tuning, capacity planning and proactive monitoring.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Ansible playbooks, Shell scripts and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Configure and manage network services such as NFS, DNS, Apache, FTP/SFTP, NTP, SMTP and SQUID.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve incidents and implement improvements.
• Perform patching, security hardening, SELinux and firewall management.
• Support Red Hat PCS clustering, VMware virtualization and backup/recovery processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Linux administration in a medium to large, process‑driven IT environment.
• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6/7/8), performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Hands‑on knowledge of LVM, filesystem permissions and security best practices.
• Proven ability to work flexibly, learn new technologies quickly and share knowledge with peers.
