Legal Manager – Secured Litigation & Compliance

About the role

The Legal Manager / Junior Counsel will lead secured litigation matters for the organization, overseeing SARFAESI proceedings, coordinating with external counsel, and ensuring accurate reporting through MIS. The role requires close interaction with internal stakeholders and daily court appearances.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end SARFAESI litigation and other secured recovery actions.
• Coordinate with external advocates, attend daily court hearings, and update case status in the MIS.
• Draft and review compliance, arbitration, IBC, negotiable instruments, and contract law documents.
• Guide and mentor the legal team, ensuring timely delivery of legal work.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and provide regular legal risk updates.

Required profile

• Strong command of legal drafting and compliance documentation.
• Working knowledge of banking‑related statutes such as SARFAESI, Arbitration Act, IBC, Negotiable Instruments Act, and the Contract Act.
• Excellent team and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience handling secured litigation in a financial services environment.
