Lead Front End Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Front End Developer to join our growing engineering team and contribute to the development and optimization of enterprise‑grade digital commerce platforms serving clients across North America and other global regions. You will work alongside senior developers and architects, building scalable backend services and user‑facing features using modern technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, NestJS, and Google Cloud Platform. The role offers the chance to grow in full‑stack development while gaining hands‑on experience with headless commerce, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of front‑end applications using React and Next.js, ensuring high performance, scalability, and exceptional user experience.
• Own front‑end architecture decisions, establish coding standards, best practices, and reusable component libraries.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
• Partner with UX/UI designers to translate designs into responsive, accessible, pixel‑perfect interfaces.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level front‑end developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
• Drive integration of authentication and authorization flows (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) on the front‑end.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable front‑end deployments on Google Cloud Platform.
• Champion front‑end testing practices, including unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with global, cross‑functional teams across time zones.

Required skills

• 8+ years of professional front‑end development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Expert‑level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Deep expertise in React.js and Next.js.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, web accessibility (WCAG), and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with Swagger/OpenAPI contracts.
• Familiarity with authentication flows such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and tools like Keycloak.
• Proficiency with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms – Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Solid knowledge of front‑end performance optimization techniques.
