Intermediate Software Engineer

About the role

Equifax is looking for a creative and high‑energy software engineer to join a talented team working on high‑scale, cloud‑native applications. You will contribute to both backend and UI layers, focusing on operational excellence, security, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy application code, including unit testing and documentation.
• Participate in estimation, use‑case specification, test‑plan review, and project planning.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues and document solutions for future developers.
• Build and operate high‑scale services using serverless, microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Integrate systems with internal platforms such as Data Fabric and CSA Toolset.
• Engage in agile ceremonies, sprint delivery, and technical roadmap discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in object‑oriented design and development, primarily with core Java.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Strong background in unit/integration testing, performance tuning, and code quality tools.
• Experience with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.
