Global Category Buyer – Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Global Category Buyer to lead the Casting, Stamping, and Metal Sub‑Assembly commodities function. The role focuses on driving category performance across cost, quality, delivery, and innovation while supporting Bosch’s manufacturing and engineering operations in India.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement global commodity and supplier strategies aligned with business objectives and market dynamics.
• Lead supplier scouting, evaluation, selection, and sourcing decisions to build a competitive and resilient supplier base.
• Drive localization and supplier development initiatives to improve cost competitiveness and regional value creation.
• Conduct market intelligence, benchmarking, and should‑cost analysis to identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including annual price negotiations, productivity improvements, cost‑reduction programs, and long‑term framework agreements.
• Establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers and foster continuous improvement through innovation, digitalisation, and process‑excellence initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Project Purchasing teams.
