Engineering Professional – Mechanical Component

About the role

Join Baker Hughes as an Engineering Professional focused on mechanical components for control valves. You will design, configure, and validate valve and actuator solutions while collaborating with global teams to meet customer and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and configure valve/actuator designs and participate in design reviews.
• Define material and quality specifications based on application and customer needs.
• Use 2D/3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, ProE, UG) and Excel for design calculations.
• Improve productivity through design automation and prepare technical data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate across functions and global sites to achieve project objectives.
• Document technical data in accordance with engineering policies.
• Ensure product safety and compliance with codes such as ASME, PED, ATEX.
• Execute design, analysis, and routine engineering tasks under supervision.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 1–3 years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or a related technical role.
• Knowledge of control valve design, instrumentation, and related functionalities.
• Understanding of materials, coatings, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Required skills

• 2D/3D CAD tools: SolidWorks, ProE, UG.
• Excel for engineering calculations.
• Control valve design and instrumentation expertise.
• Knowledge of ASME, PED, ATEX standards.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics fundamentals.
