Business Analyst – Payments Information Services

About the role

The Business Analyst – Information Services will act as the analytical engine and delivery enabler for Payments Information Services. You will shape requirements, analyse data, and ensure regulatory and reporting needs are met across the Group Payments portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business, data, technology, operations, risk, compliance and reporting stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document requirements.
• Create high‑quality user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, data mappings, business rules and reporting specifications.
• Analyse data lineage, data quality, reconciliation, reporting impacts and end‑to‑end payment information flows.
• Ensure solutions comply with regulatory reporting obligations, CPS230 requirements, enterprise data‑governance standards and audit expectations.
• Drive end‑to‑end traceability from requirements through delivery, testing, release and operational support.
• Support backlog refinement, prioritisation, demand assessment and scope definition with Product Owners and delivery teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, data specialists and testers to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within payments or financial services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting obligations (e.g., CPS230) and data‑governance principles.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and translate complex data flows into actionable documentation.
