Application Support Engineer – Operations Platform

About the role

Join BASF Digital Hub Hyderabad as an Application Support Engineer, providing L2/L3 operational support for the Operations Platform (OP) applications across Ludwigshafen and other EMEA sites. You will ensure stable production operations while contributing to the modernization of legacy systems and the development of new digital capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver L2/L3 support for OP applications, handling incident analysis and resolution in collaboration with product and infrastructure teams.
• Prepare, execute, and validate major and minor OP platform/application deployments, including go‑live, hyper‑care, and post‑deployment verification.
• Manage incident handling activities such as verification, rollback support, and cross‑region alignment when required.
• Collaborate with OP product teams for advanced troubleshooting, release support, and change execution.
• Work with Level 3 developers to resolve defects and support first‑line and external support providers during escalations.
• Provide technical and operational communication to sites and stakeholders during incidents, releases, and hyper‑care periods.

• Excellent communication skills for interaction with global teams and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience in L2/L3 application support for enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of deployment processes, incident management and root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Operations Platform environments and cross‑regional coordination.
