Administrative and Finance Assistant – Patna

About the role

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is seeking an Administrative and Finance Assistant to support the State Office in Patna, Bihar. This full‑time, fixed‑term position (one year, renewable) will work closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth administrative and financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and logistical support for workshops, seminars, meetings and related activities.
• Facilitate procurement of goods and services in accordance with UNFPA guidelines.
• Perform standard financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with record‑keeping, reporting and documentation for the State Office.
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager in New Delhi on compliance and technical matters.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability for a one‑year fixed‑term contract (renewable).
• Ability to work on‑site in Patna and travel locally as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to UNFPA’s values and standards.
• Experience in administrative or finance support within an international or governmental setting is preferred.
