Tax Senior Analyst – Group Tax (Assistant Vice President)

About the role

Deutsche Bank’s Group Tax team in Mumbai is seeking a Tax Senior Analyst (Assistant Vice President) to support indirect tax representation, compliance and advisory for the bank’s Indian entities. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will work closely with Finance, Operations, HR and Business partners across India and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with Indian revenue authorities to close entity‑level audits and respond to queries in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit tax filings and ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations.
• Provide advisory support on indirect tax matters, keeping stakeholders informed of legislative changes.
• Update management on audit developments, highlight risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Monitor external audit processes and coordinate with internal teams to address findings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate tax considerations into business decisions.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification and experience in indirect taxes in India.
• Proven ability to represent the organization before tax authorities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with senior management and cross‑functional partners.
