Tax Consultant II – M&A Tax Services

About the role

Join Deloitte's Tax Services team as a Tax Consultant II focused on Mergers & Acquisitions. You will work closely with corporate and private‑equity clients, providing tax due diligence, structuring and modeling support for both buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform tax due diligence, tax structuring and tax modeling for M&A transactions.
• Prepare and review tax due diligence reports, databooks, structure decks and financial models for senior audiences.
• Conduct complex tax research across federal tax law areas such as Subchapter C, K, S, consolidated returns, international tax and multi‑state tax.
• Develop kick‑off materials including notes documents, tax workbooks, data request lists and agendas.
• Coordinate daily with US M&A Tax teams and USI advisory colleagues to align workstreams.
• Review deliverables for accuracy, incorporate feedback and ensure high‑quality output.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal tax law and M&A tax concepts.
• Ability to analyze complex tax issues and formulate planning strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with US and India tax professionals.
