Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to lead the development, enablement, and customer support of next‑generation Board Management Controller (BMC) solutions based on NXP processors. The role involves architecture definition, platform bring‑up, OpenBMC enablement, server integration and close collaboration with hardware, software and ecosystem partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system architecture, bring‑up, validation and debugging of BMC platforms on NXP i.MX processors.
• Develop and integrate OpenBMC components such as Redfish, IPMI, PLDM, MCTP, sensor management and event logging.
• Enable and validate host management functions including power sequencing, thermal management, inventory, firmware updates and remote management.
• Drive server platform integration using PCIe, USB, I2C, I3C, SMBus, UART, Ethernet and GPIO interfaces.
• Support DC‑SCM and OCP‑compliant BMC architectures, develop Linux BSP and device driver enhancements.
• Work with ecosystem partners and customers on design‑ins, proofs‑of‑concept, demos and technical escalations.
• Contribute to open‑source communities and upstream OpenBMC development, and produce technical documentation and reference collateral.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems, server management, networking or platform software development.
• Strong expertise in Linux‑based embedded systems and hands‑on experience with OpenBMC or similar controllers.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, Yocto‑based Linux distributions and hardware/software debugging.
