Senior System Administrator

About the role

NIIT is seeking a Senior System Administrator to lead the delivery and maintenance of its IT infrastructure across global contact‑center operations. The role combines hands‑on technical support, network management and coordination with service providers to ensure reliable connectivity for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Helpdesk support and desktop maintenance, including installation, AV setup, Windows updates and general upkeep.
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring link compliance and server/network event monitoring.
• Manage connectivity devices such as routers, firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi access points, VPN and Extranet connections.
• Liaise with ISPs and third‑party service providers to guarantee service delivery.
• Administer Microsoft‑based systems (MS SQL, SharePoint, Exchange, Active Directory) and Cisco/HP networking equipment.
• Oversee TATA contact‑center account management, including mailbox administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of hands‑on experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.

Required skills

• Windows operating system administration and desktop support.
• Active Directory, MS SQL, SharePoint and Exchange management.
• Network devices: routers, firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi access points.
• VPN and Extranet configuration.
• Experience with Cisco and HP networking hardware.
• Server and network event monitoring.
• ISP coordination and connectivity troubleshooting.
• TATA contact‑center account and mailbox administration.
