Senior Software Engineer - Frontend (React JS + NodeJS/NextJS + Typescript)

About the role

Gartner IT is seeking a senior frontend engineer to join the Peer Insights team, building a scalable, secure platform for Gartner Peer Platform sites. The role involves high‑performance web development using React, Node.js and Typescript within an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deliver products and applications that integrate with databases, AWS services and REST APIs.
• Develop using open‑source technologies, primarily NodeJS and ReactJS, in a fast‑paced Scrum setting.
• Translate design mock‑ups and style guides into functional, cross‑browser user interfaces with optimal performance.
• Own complex features from technical design through launch, contributing ideas for new functionality.
• Conduct system analysis together with a lead engineer to improve operations and reliability.
• Write and maintain unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests following coding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• 4‑6 years of experience developing customer‑facing web applications.
• Expertise in ReactJS, NodeJS and Typescript.
• Strong skills in CSS, HTML and design libraries.
• Proven experience consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid background in unit testing and end‑to‑end testing.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Good understanding of security best practices.
