About the role
Deel is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Associate to lead Indian payroll operations. You will own end‑to‑end payroll processing, ensure compliance with local regulations, and mentor junior team members while contributing to continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the processing of payroll data for all Indian employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and verify salaries, hours, and deductions.
- Assist with Indian payroll tax calculations, filings, and compliance reporting.
- Provide timely support for employee payroll inquiries.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Several years of hands‑on payroll experience, preferably with Indian payroll regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to guide and coach junior payroll staff.
