Product Specialist – East Commercial Unit

About the role

As a Product Specialist for the East Commercial Unit, you will shape the product portfolio for key vegetable and flower crops across the region. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to align product strategies with market needs and drive the introduction of new varieties.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategies for assigned geography and crop set.
• Define local Target Product Profiles, manage market positioning and product life‑cycle.
• Plan and allocate trial seeds, set evaluation criteria for PLC‑6 trials, and consolidate trial reports to support advancement decisions.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, including variety naming, registration, and IP protection.
• Assess value traits, propose pricing, and provide strategic inputs based on market trends and competitor analysis.
• Support key producers with technical expertise and enable the sales team with robust sales arguments.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in product strategy development within the seed or horticulture sector.
• Proven ability to manage product life‑cycle and market positioning.
• Experience consolidating trial data and driving promotional activities.
• Strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
