Material Working Operator – 1st Shift

About the role

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Material Working Operator on the 1st shift at our Plainfield, Indiana distribution center. You will support the flow of medical products through receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment in a temperature‑controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Use a handheld RF device to pick customer orders and build picking carts.
• Operate a portable RF scanner and computer to move product within an automated storage and retrieval system.
• Pick, pack, and ship various products while maintaining temperature requirements and product integrity.
• Assist Support and Shipping departments as needed.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and attendance standards.

Required profile

• Reliable work ethic with punctual attendance.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and in varying temperature zones (‑20 °C to 30 °C).
• Willingness to work up to 10‑hour shifts and overtime when required.
• Basic math, reading, and computer operation skills with strong attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally.

Required skills

• Operation of RF devices, handheld scanners, and voice‑pick equipment.
• Use of computer interfaces for inventory management.
• Experience with automated storage and retrieval systems.
