Healthcare Support Worker – Radiology

About the role

The Healthcare Support Worker will join the Radiology department of NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, helping to deliver a high‑quality imaging service. You will support radiographers, manage patient flow and ensure patients receive a positive care experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist radiographers in preparing patients for imaging procedures.
• Manage patient flow and scheduling within the department.
• Maintain accurate patient records using hospital computer systems.
• Provide basic clinical procedures such as cannulation or venepuncture when required.
• Support the delivery of extended opening hours through flexible working patterns.

Required profile

• Commitment to delivering a high standard of patient care.
• Good computer literacy and ability to use clinical software.
• Willingness to undertake training in radiology procedures.
• Flexibility to work full‑time or part‑time, including condensed weeks.
• Previous radiology experience is desirable but not essential.
