Finance Lead

About the role

The 1% Club is scaling its regulated financial services businesses and needs a Finance Lead to design and implement a robust financial architecture across multiple legal entities. Reporting to the Founder, you will build the finance function from the ground up, enabling accurate consolidated reporting, unit‑level economics, and regulatory compliance while preparing the company for institutional fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Map, instrument, and diagnose the current financial processes across all entities within the first month.
• Design and implement consolidated reporting frameworks, BU‑level P&L tracking, and deferred revenue accounting.
• Establish regulatory financial infrastructure for SEBI‑registered RIA and Research Analyst, and prepare for IRDAI licensing.
• Develop investor‑grade financial models, data‑room documentation, and forward‑looking forecasts tied to audited numbers.
• Partner with business unit heads to translate financial data into strategic operating decisions.
• Lead statutory compliance, bookkeeping, and capital adequacy monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven experience building finance functions in multi‑entity, regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations (SEBI, IRDAI) and revenue recognition complexities.
• Track record of preparing companies for institutional fundraising.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, technology, and operations teams.
