Employee Relations Senior Specialist

About the role

As an Employee Relations Senior Specialist at Google Operations Center, you will apply your deep knowledge of employment law and best‑practice HR policies to guide GOC employees through workplace concerns. You will conduct empathetic intakes, identify relevant policies, and partner with investigators to ensure timely, fair resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations into employee relations issues and oversee resolution of team dynamic challenges.
• Advise on and resolve workplace concerns such as performance‑review fairness, promotions, reorganizations, pay, and conduct standards.
• Identify potential policy violations and collaborate with Employee Relations investigators to determine the need for formal investigations.
• Support partner investigations (Ethics & Compliance, Internal Audit, Global Investigations) with note‑taking, advising, and drafting corrective actions.
• De‑escalate matters using empathetic listening and conflict‑resolution techniques.
• Draft summaries documenting complex issues and recommendations.
• Travel across locations and support varied shifts as needed.
• Partner with HRBP teams for internal, external, or global audits related to labour compliance.
• Analyze ER data insights to develop proactive interventions.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in employee relations, investigations, or as an employment attorney.
• Strong communication, analytical, influencing, and writing abilities.
• Proven experience consulting directly with employees and management.
