DevOps Engineer

About the role

Apple’s Information Systems and Technology group is looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build and manage tools that enable fast, reliable software releases across on‑premise, private and public cloud platforms. You will work closely with global development and infrastructure teams to improve automation, scalability and observability of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to streamline manual operations and enhance system capacity.
• Develop, maintain and operate CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration across AWS services.
• Triaging security and production incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and driving remediation.
• Collaborate with U.S. and India‑based teams to support highly available systems.
• Build custom tooling and scripts to improve developer productivity.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, hands‑on and detail‑oriented with a strong technical background.
• 6‑18 months of proven experience in DevOps/SRE, systems engineering or build/release automation.
• Experience working in fast‑paced enterprise environments.

Required skills

• Python scripting for automation.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, kubectl, kustomize.
• Amazon Web Services (VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS).
• Observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk.
• CI/CD pipeline development.
