Design Engineer – Outfitting (Piping)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer specialized in piping outfitting for shipbuilding and offshore platforms. You will work closely with the design team and clients to create detailed 3D models and production‑ready drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and related drawings using Cadmatic, ShipConstructor, AVEVA Marine or equivalent ship design software.
• Interpret PFDs, P&IDs, procurement specifications and international piping standards.
• Prepare isometric drawings, arrangement layouts, bill of materials and weight calculations for basic, detail and production stages.
• Review vendor documents, datasheets, specifications and calculations.
• Support pipe support fabrication drawings and layout sketches.
• Be ready to relocate to client sites domestically or internationally on short notice.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with a postgraduate qualification in piping.
• Up to 7 years total experience, including up to 4 years hands‑on with 3D ship design software.
• Experience in ship outfitting (piping) design or shipyard projects.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and willingness to commit at least one year.
• Willingness to relocate to Goa.

Required skills

• Cadmatic, ShipConstructor, AVEVA Marine (or similar 3D ship design tools).
• Proficiency with PFD, P&ID interpretation.
• Knowledge of API, DIN, ASME, BS/EN piping standards.
• Preparation of isometric sketches, bill of materials, weight calculations.
• Vendor document review and specification compliance.
