Commis – Assistente de Serviço de Restaurante

About the role

The commis will support the restaurant floor team by greeting guests, assisting wait staff, and ensuring smooth service during both regular operations and external events. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat customers when needed.
• Offer the wine list and assist guests with menu choices.
• Support waiters in serving food and beverages.
• Help set up and break down the mise‑en‑place and tables for internal service and external events.
• Take orders, deliver menus, and manage order tickets.
• Serve drinks and dishes, present checks, and process payments.
• Sanitize utensils, glasses, and dishes; maintain cleanliness of service areas.
• Restock condiments, fill service logs, and handle linen for laundry.
• Wash wine glasses and organize them in the display cabinet.
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards, maintain personal presentation, and protect equipment.

Required profile

• Complete basic education.
• At least 3 months of experience in a restaurant or similar setting.
• Attention and concentration, good communication, teamwork, productivity, and interpersonal skills.
• Completed basic restaurant techniques course or relevant internship.
• Training in basic food hygiene and safety, plus an advanced hygiene course.
