Bank Cashier (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to join our branch network. The role involves managing all cash‑related transactions, ensuring compliance with banking guidelines, and delivering excellent service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposits, maintaining accurate system entries.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and update relevant registers.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash and asset registers, and prepare requisitions for the regional head office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare end‑of‑day reports and ensure vault security in partnership with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, explain repayment dates, promote new products and guide them to alternate channels.
• Adhere to turnaround times, regulatory requirements and internal policies for all cashier operations.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability for branch operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Good communication skills for customer interaction.
• Understanding of banking procedures and compliance standards.
