Waiter (Cruise Ship)

About the role

The Waiter will deliver six‑star food and beverage service aboard a Crystal cruise ship, supporting senior wait staff and ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous, and friendly service in all dining venues.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally and provide attentive food and beverage service at assigned stations.
• Assist with food deliveries from the galley to waterside stations.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor under pressure and uphold Crystal service standards.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and required courses.
• Record work and rest hours continuously on the crew portal.
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Experience as a waiter in a luxury shore‑side or ship‑based establishment (beneficial).
• Good food and beverage knowledge.
• Fluent written and spoken English (minimum 70% on onboard test).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Valid STCW certification as required by IMO.
• Current Crystal Cruises approved Pre‑Employment Medical Examination confirming fitness for shipboard duty.
• Service‑minded, outgoing, charming and friendly personality.
