Tech Lead – Cloud-based Industrial AI & Software Applications

About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of the Research and Technology Center of Bosch Research in India, you will be the technical leader for cloud‑based industrial AI applications. You will define end‑to‑end architecture, create the technical roadmap and guide a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver scalable, cloud‑native solutions that turn cutting‑edge research into real‑world products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements engineering for cloud‑based industrial AI and software applications, including elicitation, analysis, prioritisation and validation.
• Design end‑to‑end architectures that address performance, scalability, reliability, security, usability and observability.
• Develop and maintain a technical roadmap in collaboration with business, AI feature and software engineering teams.
• Steer development and operations across frontend, backend, cloud, data engineering, DevOps and AI feature integration, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Drive innovation by applying the latest trends in software and AI architecture design.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the software engineering team, fostering knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with international, interdisciplinary teams spanning AI, software engineering, business and domain experts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading complex software projects and defining architecture for cloud‑native applications.
• Strong background in requirements engineering and technical roadmap creation.
• Ability to mentor engineers and work effectively in interdisciplinary, global teams.
• Excellent communication skills to align technical decisions with business objectives.
