Taxation Manager – GST & Customs

About the role

The Taxation Manager will lead GST compliance across 26 locations in India, ensuring accurate filing, timely refunds, and robust audit defense. The role also covers excise, VAT, CST, service tax, entry tax, and customs matters, driving process improvements and tax cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end GST compliance, including GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, annual returns and reconciliations.
• Secure GST refunds under inverted duty structures and optimise Input Tax Credit.
• Oversee customs compliance, SVB renewals, project imports and related litigations.
• Handle assessments, audits and litigations across all tax domains (direct tax, transfer pricing, GST, customs, excise, VAT, CST, service tax, entry tax).
• Prepare and file submissions, appeals, rectifications and stay applications before tax authorities.
• Drive automation and process improvements using SAP and other digital tools.
• Develop and maintain tax MIS, dashboards and provide tax‑saving recommendations.
• Provide tax outlay and provisioning inputs to the FP&A team.

Required profile

• 10–14 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and litigation.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Hands‑on experience with GST filings (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9/9C) and advisory support.
• Exposure to excise, service tax, VAT, CST and entry tax assessments.
