Taxation Manager – Finance

About the role

GVR India is looking for a Taxation Manager to lead all tax‑related responsibilities within its Finance organisation in Mumbai. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing, litigation and export regulations, while providing strategic tax planning for the Indian market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accurate calculation, filing and timely payment of income tax and GST.
• Prepare and review tax provisions, disclosures and statutory reporting in accordance with applicable GAAP.
• Manage tax audits, assessments and all interactions with tax authorities.
• Develop and implement tax optimisation strategies and support business decision‑making.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess risks and advise stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules and arms‑length pricing across entities.
• Provide payroll tax support, including employee TDS deductions.
• Collaborate with advisors on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate projects.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 8‑12 years of overall finance, accounting or controlling experience.
• At least 5 years of dedicated tax experience, including compliance, planning and transfer pricing.
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, income tax, foreign trade regulations (EXIM, FEMA) and corporate structures.
