Tax Specialist – Indirect Tax Operations

About the role

ABB is seeking a detail‑oriented Tax Specialist to lead end‑to‑end compliance for indirect taxes across multiple countries. The role supports accurate and timely tax processes, collaborates with internal teams and external advisors, and contributes to continuous improvement of tax operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and validate tax documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their operational impact.
• Assist in preparation and submission of tax filings and reconcile tax data across systems.
• Support audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to streamline tax workflows and implement automation solutions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations and technology teams.
• Monitor and mitigate tax‑related risks, maintaining internal controls and documentation.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably with exposure to overseas jurisdictions.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CWA, CA Inter, MBA Finance, M.Com or B.Com.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to resolve functional tax issues.
• Ability to work in shifts as required and manage a sizable team.
• Excellent communication, presentation and execution skills.
