Tax Specialist – GST & Direct Tax (Chennai)

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Specialist passionate about GST and Direct Tax to join our growing tax practice in Chennai. You will work on litigation, refund, and compliance matters that have a real impact for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft replies to GST notices, prepare appeals and represent clients before authorities.
• Manage end-to-end GST refund applications.
• Ensure timely GST compliance filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, etc.).
• Handle income-tax compliance including returns, TDS and advance tax.
• Support accounting and financial reporting for client engagements.

Required profile

• CA Inter/IPCC (semi-qualified) or minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in GST, income tax and accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of GST law and its practical application.
• Well-versed in accounting and financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven and eager to grow.
