Store Manager – Materials & Inventory (Heavy Engineering)

About the role

The company seeks an experienced Store Manager to independently oversee storage locations for piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation materials across multiple heavy‑engineering projects. The role ensures seamless receipt, preservation, issuance and accurate inventory accounting while maintaining strict QMS and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt, preservation, issuance and inventory accounting for all project materials.
• Ensure QMS documentation and safety compliance at each storage site.
• Lead and coordinate third‑party associates and internal workers.
• Optimize material‑handling resources and manpower utilization.
• Prepare budget estimates for manpower and material‑handling equipment.
• Plan storage area layout, implement best practices and drive continuous improvement through digitisation.
• Develop SAP MM and E‑Apps solutions to enhance store operations.
• Conduct corporate, financial, safety and inventory audits, including API and stamping audits.
• Oversee scrap and hazardous‑waste management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy‑engineering industries with direct exposure to store processes.
• Proven ability to lead third‑party teams and manage large‑scale material inventories.
• Experience with scrap and hazardous‑waste handling.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, safety regulations and budgeting.
