Staff Nurse Vaccinator

About the role

The Vaccination Team at NHS Borders is seeking a motivated, registered nurse to join a comprehensive vaccination service covering the Scottish Borders region. You will deliver a wide range of immunisations to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, in multiple community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations including childhood immunisations, school programmes, pneumococcal, shingles, RSV, Covid‑19 and seasonal flu.
• Provide vaccination services in health centres, community clinics, schools, care homes and patients’ homes.
• Observe and support a baby and pre‑school vaccination session as part of the recruitment process.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the vaccination service.

Required profile

• First‑level registered nurse.
• Experience of vaccination delivery preferred.
• Experience working in a community or multidisciplinary setting.
• Strong communication, organisational and decision‑making abilities.
• Commitment to compassionate leadership and quality care.
