Staff Nurse – Full‑time Clinical Position

About the role

The Staff Nurse role is a full‑time, on‑site position at 24 hrs cm hospital in Chennai, delivering direct patient care in a 24‑hour acute‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, administer medications, provide wound care and monitor vital signs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Follow infection‑control protocols, hospital policies and ethical standards to ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Educate patients and families about preventive health practices.

Required profile

• Valid nursing registration/license and completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, GNM or B.Sc Nursing).
• Strong clinical abilities in patient assessment, basic life support, medication administration and routine nursing procedures.
• Clear, compassionate communication skills and knowledge of hospital protocols and documentation standards.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, and to stay calm under pressure.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic medical records and a commitment to ongoing training.
• Prior experience in hospital or acute‑care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
