As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will be an experienced member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market‑leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, high‑quality production code for complex payment applications.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding‑assist tools to generate, refactor, and test code, while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Create architecture and design artifacts, ensuring design constraints are met throughout development.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize large data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and system architecture.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to improve coding hygiene and system resilience.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability using modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Practical use of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools, with ability to critically evaluate and refine AI‑generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and security expectations within engineering workflows.
• Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
