Software Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a high‑performing engineering team within Amazon's Selling Partner Identity Verification (SPIV) organization. You will drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure systems that enable sellers worldwide to register and sell on the Amazon marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers and technical program managers.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for registration and verification platforms.
• Make design decisions for product features and technology choices, ensuring scalability and extensibility.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to scope resources, budget, and operational goals.
• Deliver software iteratively using Agile best practices and the latest technologies.
• Maintain operational excellence, security, and reliability of production systems.

Required profile

• Strong technical credibility to lead world‑class engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of the full software development life‑cycle, including Agile, waterfall, and iterative methodologies.
• Experience building long‑term strategy and translating it into an actionable roadmap.
• Proven track record designing and delivering scalable, distributed systems.
• Ability to justify resource and budget needs to senior stakeholders.
• Consistent focus on operational excellence and system security.
