Software Development Engineer III

About the role

Swiggy is looking for a Software Development Engineer III to own end-to-end design and architecture of complex, high-scale systems. The role partners with product and business teams to translate feature specifications into robust technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive best-practice engineering standards, including code, design, and architecture reviews.
• Lead the adoption of new technologies and tools, measuring impact on product performance.
• Own the long-term technology vision and roadmap for the assigned product area.
• Design and implement complete system architecture for new and existing services.
• Make technology and tool decisions for the team and ensure their successful implementation.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of product development experience, with at least two years of people-management or team-lead experience.
• Hands-on expertise in building real-time internet or high-scale SaaS applications.
• Strong command of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
• Excellent coding skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or Go.
