Service Trainer

About the role

The Talent Development team at Ather is looking for a Service Trainer to lead regional, role‑based training for service advisors, managers, floor in‑charges, final inspectors and CRE/CRM staff across company‑owned and dealer‑owned service centres. The trainer will act as the single point of contact for the region, coordinating both functional and technical training to improve service delivery and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver onboarding and role‑specific training programmes for new hires and existing service staff.
• Support technical training initiatives and ensure alignment with EV safety protocols.
• Track training attendance, adherence and generate certification and performance reports for each batch.
• Manage the Service Training Centre – allocate resources, maintain tools, and oversee inventory.
• Plan and run refresher sessions focused on running changes and updates.
• Respond to field queries from service teams and maintain up‑to‑date service bulletins.

Required profile

• BE or B‑Tech degree with at least 3 years of automotive industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a trainer in a service environment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle service processes, automotive systems and basic electrical concepts.
• Proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and using Excel for reporting.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Hindi and regional languages are a plus.
