Senior Reliability Engineer – Power Electronics

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to support product improvement and new product development, ensuring performance, quality, reliability, validation and cost targets are met for power electronics and related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support product improvement and new product development to meet performance, quality, reliability, validation and cost requirements.
• Ensure reliability of power electronics, including ROM development for internal eAxle loads.
• Validate reliability of power modules with brazed coolers.
• Manage thermal management, high‑voltage safety and vibration robustness for eAxle and vehicle loads.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience (9‑11 years) in automotive development projects focused on reliability engineering.
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and application‑specific requirements.
• Solid foundation in mechanics fundamentals (vibration, thermal, thermo‑mechanical) with hands‑on testing experience.
• Familiarity with field load analysis, failure analysis, risk assessment and product validation methodologies.
• Experience designing validation plans using FMEA and impact analysis.
• Proven ability to conduct failure analysis and root‑cause identification using 8D, CAR and FTA.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally, coordinate testing activities and engage with customers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of international testing standards and reliability certifications (REX preferred).
