Senior Payments Executive – Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business in India. The Senior Payments Executive will build the QR merchant acquiring operation from the ground up in the assigned territory, recruit and lead a field sales team, and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments to generate transaction volume and gross merchandise value.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) to achieve productivity targets.
• Acquire new merchants and oversee QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers for business development.
• Ensure comprehensive distribution coverage through effective FOS mapping and channel management.
• Drive sales numbers, retailer payment reconciliation, and monthly store activation.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotion ideas and execution.
• Maintain process rigor, controllership, and visibility at points of sale.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to Payments, FMCG, or Telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and high energy.
• Self‑starter attitude with a passion for field work and retailer engagement.
