Senior Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

StoneX Group is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join its global IT team. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing reliability of Linux‑based infrastructure that supports critical financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RedHat, CentOS, and Ubuntu servers ensuring high availability.
• Automate routine operations using Ansible, Bash, Python, or Go scripts.
• Deploy and manage virtualization and container platforms such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
• Set up and monitor CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and releases.
• Implement security controls to meet GDPR, SOX, and PCI‑DSS requirements and apply regular patches.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for complex hardware, software, and network incidents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to optimise performance and enhance system security.
• Document configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in senior Linux administration roles.
• Strong background in financial or regulated environments is preferred.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and resolve critical outages quickly.
• Excellent written documentation skills.
