Senior Legal Counsel – Marketing & Brand Law

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead marketing and brand legal advisory for a top‑100 listed FMCG company. The role involves providing practical, solution‑oriented advice to marketing teams and ensuring compliance across all brand communications.

Key responsibilities

• Advise marketing and business teams on advertisements, claims, contests, promotions, and brand communication.
• Vet artworks, POSM, print and digital ads, and promotional campaigns for legal compliance.
• Handle ASCI matters, competitor challenges, and claims substantiation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate brand promotion, endorsement, co‑branding, and marketing agreements.
• Provide guidance on intellectual property, regulatory, and compliance issues related to marketing activities.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in marketing or brand legal advisory, preferably within FMCG or consumer goods.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience handling advertising standards and regulatory matters.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
