Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Roblox is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead the evaluation of internal business SOX controls, execute operational audits, and develop tools for the internal audit department. You will work closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to assess, document, and improve the company’s internal control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and document design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Execute risk‑based internal audits of key operational and financial processes.
• Update SOX scoping analysis to confirm in‑scope accounts, processes, and systems.
• Assist business units in implementing SOX controls for new products or entities.
• Guide remediation action plans for control deficiencies and monitor corrective actions.
• Build and maintain risk and controls matrices and coordinate SOX testing in the compliance tool.
• Provide periodic status updates on internal controls testing.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with management, consultants, and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 + years of relevant experience, preferably in a technology company or Big 4 accounting firm.
• Working towards or holding a CPA or CIA certification.
• Strong understanding of internal auditing standards, SOX, and COSO frameworks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal audit methodologies and techniques.
• Experience with SOX compliance testing and documentation.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and control matrix development.
