Senior Drug Safety Scientist

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Senior Drug Safety Scientist to join its Life Sciences R&D vertical. You will work within the Clinical, Pharmacovigilance & Regulatory sub‑offering, helping leading biopharma clients ensure medication safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, submission, and follow‑up for Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in the safety database.
• Analyze safety data from clinical trials, healthcare providers, and patients to detect, assess, and prevent adverse drug reactions.
• Ensure all activities comply with client guidelines and global regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide guidance on pharmacovigilance methods and procedures.
• Support small project teams or work streams, influencing decisions that impact the broader team.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or MBBS degree.
• 7 to 11 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety surveillance.
• Proven ability to solve moderately complex problems and develop new solutions.
• Strong understanding of strategic direction set by senior management.
