Senior Director – HR Business Partner (India)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director to lead the Human Resources Business Partner function for a large, complex organization in India. The role partners closely with senior business leaders to shape people strategies, drive workforce planning, and support transformation initiatives while ensuring a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately five HR Business Partners across multiple business functions.
• Partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business priorities and organizational goals.
• Drive workforce planning, succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership development initiatives.
• Provide strategic guidance on organizational design, transformation, restructuring, and change management.
• Coach leaders on complex employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness matters.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and HR Operations.
• Utilize workforce analytics and talent insights to support strategic decision‑making.
• Promote employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, and a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with labor legislation, company policies, and governance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive HR experience with significant HR Business Partner leadership.
• Experience supporting organizations of 4,000–8,000 employees.
• Proven ability to lead and develop HR Business Partner teams.
• Strong partnership experience with senior executives in a matrix environment.
• Successful track record in organizational transformation, talent management, workforce planning, and leadership development.
